What is the maximum number of guests that the house will accommodate?

To ensure everyone has a comfortable and relaxing stay at our Long Point Airbnb, Sunshine Beach House can accommodate up to 10 guests. Whether you’re planning a family vacation or a weekend getaway with friends on Lake Erie, our layout offers plenty of space to unwind.

Are pets allowed?

While we love animals, Sunshine Beach House is strictly a pet-free vacation rental. This helps us accommodate guests with severe allergies and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness. If you need local boarding recommendations in the Norfolk County area, we’d be happy to share some great options!

What time is checkin and checkout?

Check-in at our beach house begins at 3:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to arrive and catch a beautiful Lake Erie sunset.

Check-out is at 11:00 AM. This allows our dedicated cleaning team enough time to thoroughly prepare and sanitize the cottage for our next guests.

Do you offer early or late checkins?

To ensure Sunshine Beach House is perfectly cleaned and prepared to our high standards for your arrival, our team requires the full turnover window between guests. For this reason, we are typically unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs. We sincerely appreciate your understanding, as this allows us the time needed to make the cottage absolutely spotless for your Long Point getaway!

What is provided and what do guests need to bring?

At Sunshine Beach House, we want your stay to be as comfortable and carefree as possible. To help you pack perfectly for your vacation, here is a quick breakdown of what is waiting for you and what you’ll need to bring along:

  • What we provide: All essential bedding and bath comforts, including pillows, fresh bed linens, shower towels, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, and a hair dryer.

  • What you should bring: To make the most of your beach days and family meals, please remember to pack your own beach towels, umbrellas, sand toys, water rafts, and wood for the fire pit. For dining and meal prep, please bring paper towels, tin foil, plastic wrap, zip-lock bags, BBQ foil trays, coffee, coffee filters, tea, and any spices you prefer.

What Kitchen Items are provided?

Our kitchen is fully set up for you to easily prepare and serve wonderful family meals! We provide all your everyday cookware and dining essentials, including pots, pans, serving dishes, plates, bowls, drinking ware, and utensils. As a gentle reminder, consumable items like paper towels, plastic wrap, tin foil, zip-lock bags, cooking oils, and coffee are not provided, so be sure to add those to your grocery list.

Is the house directly on the beach?

Yes! Sunshine Beach House is a true beachfront rental. You can step right off the back deck and onto the soft sand of Long Point Beach. You’ll enjoy direct water access and uninterrupted views of Lake Erie right from your window.

Are there fire extinguishers on the property?

Yes, your safety is our top priority.

Sunshine Beach House is fully equipped with easily accessible fire extinguishers located in the Kitchen & Laundry Room, as well as up-to-date smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on every floor.

 

Is the beach house on a septic system?

Yes, like most properties situated in the Long Point Biosphere Reserve, our cottage runs on a delicate septic system. Because these systems rely on natural breakdown processes, only human waste and the provided toilet paper can be flushed down the toilets. Please do not flush wipes (even those labeled “flushable”), feminine hygiene products, or paper towels, as this can severely damage the system and disrupt your peaceful vacation.

How Far is Port Rowan from the beach house?

Port Rowan is just a scenic 10 drive (about 15 km) from Sunshine Beach House! It’s incredibly convenient for picking up groceries, grabbing a coffee, or browsing the charming local shops. You get the tranquil, isolated feel of a Long Point beach rental with all the necessary amenities of town just a short drive away.

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

Full Refund: Cancel within 48 hours of booking to receive a full refund. (Note: This does not apply to last-minute bookings).

50% Refund: Cancel at least 7 days before your scheduled check-in to receive a 50% refund.

Last-Minute Bookings: Reservations made within 14 days of your check-in date are strictly non-refundable.
